Grandmaster No. 8 for Delhi and Grandmaster No. 92 for India; Heartiest Congratulations to Aaryan Varshney!

The Delhi Chess Association proudly congratulates Aaryan Varshney on becoming the 92nd Grandmaster of India and the 8th Grandmaster from Delhi. Aaryan achieved his third and final GM norm at the prestigious Andranik Margaryan Memorial GM Norm Round Robin, Armenia, thereby fulfilling all requirements to earn the coveted Grandmaster title. He has already met the rating requirement and currently boasts an impressive FIDE rating of 2513.
By joining the illustrious lineage of Parimarjan Negi, Abhijeet Gupta, Sriram Jha, Vaibhav Suri, Sahaj Grover, Aryan Chopra, and Prithu Gupta, Aaryan has added another glorious chapter to Delhi’s rich chess legacy.
We extend our warmest wishes to Aaryan and his proud family on this remarkable achievement and wish him many more laurels ahead as he continues to make India proud and Delhi shine on the global chess stage.
