Delhi’s Grandmaster Sahaj Grover came up with a splendid effort to bag the South African open, blitz and rapid championship held at Durban in South Africa. Sahaj did not lose a single game in any of the events and was a clear winner in all three. In the blitz section, Sahaj conceded a lone draw and scored 6.5/7 and in the rapid he scored 6/7 to be a clear winner. The real form of the champion came to fore in the open section where he scored a massive 10/11 conceding just two draws and winning the remaining nine games.
The Delhi Chess Association congratulates Sahaj on his fantastic performance.
